I’ve been collecting records since my teens and DJing since my early 20s. Digging for music and learning about the history that’s shaped it has been a lifelong passion of mine. I believe sharing the context and culture is just as important as sharing the music itself. 

With my show Lowrider Sundays I explored the culture around oldies music. As an Artform Radio resident on WorldWideFM, I took deep dives into various genres, from cumbia sonidera to city pop. Now with my show, Butterly Beat, I’ve decided to do something a bit more abstract by weaving sonic narratives more intuitively and emotionally. 

As a DJ, I use my foundation as a record digger to build eclectic and emotionally resonant sets that blend both the new and nostalgic. I’ve performed in various cities across the U.S., Mexico, and Canada and have opened up for artists like Quantic, Durand Jones and the Indications, and Dam-Funk.
